Music Venues in Milton Keynes

For such a young town, Milton Keynes is home to an impressively rich array of live music venues. As a budding or established musician, here at Singing Lessons Milton Keynes we hope you may find inspiration from the fantastic acts that frequent the town in its various and growing number of venues. We also hope that the list below, and over at Guitar Lessons Milton Keynes, may assist you in finding a platform for your own performance, whether old hat or debut.

The Venue MK

The Venue, situated close to the M1 and central Milton Keynes, is a recent addition to the MK music scene. Primarily showing classical musicians and musical theatre, The Venue provides an alternative source of live entertainment to the likes of The Stable and the National Bowl, be it an inspiration for your blossoming singing career, or as a stage to exhibit your talent. Located at Walton High in Fyfield Barrow, MK7 7WH, The Venue seat 380 people and can be hired for special events as well as personal promotion, as they provide all technical specifications, in addition to technical and catering services with their numerous hire packages - everything you need to put on a show.

Buskers Coffee Shop

Located in Wolverton Park, MK12 5FJ, Buskers offer a unique experience to visiters. The award-winning coffee shop can be found within the music shop and provides a space for buskers to perform at 'Supper Club', wth a hat sent around for guest's contributions. This cosy and dedicated spot offers a fruitful opportunity to get your voice heard, after a few lessons with us at Singing Lessons Milton Keynes to get you comfortable and prepared for taking to the stage for the first or fifty-first time. The venue is also available for functions and private hire, offering an intimate space for performance and events. Buskers Coffee Shop is a true gem, its quality service and lively atmosphere attracting many visitors from all over the area and beyond, meaning that a performer here will soon become a firm favourite among many.

The Chrysalis Theatre

The Chrysalis is on the east end of town, right near Willen Lake (MK15 9JY). It’s a multi-function venue providing a space for everything from charity events to piano recitals to lectures, as well as musical events of course. Known for it’s charitable work with adults with learning disabilities, the Chrysalis is a real community stalwart. Think of it as a blank canvas for all manner of events; they’ll let you set up their space as a theatre, cabaret style, or however you like, with seating for up to 200 people.

The Buszy

The Buszy on Eldergate, MK9 1LR has “hip” coming out its ears, with its own thrift shop, café and even skateboarding classes. But what makes it special is its commitment to supporting local artists, especially youth. If you’re under the age of 25, we highly recommend checking out their monthly open mic nights. It’s a really relaxed, pressure-free setting to watch like-minded people express themselves, or even to play your first gig. You don't even have to call up in advance - you can literally just turn up and play. What’s more, all profits generated by the Buszy go straight back into projects that benefit young people. Cool, huh?
